The pupils at Trinity Church of England Primary School enjoy a curriculum which is balanced and broadly based and which promotes their spiritual moral, cultural, mental and physical development as well as preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. The curriculum comprises all planned learning and experiences. The national curriculum forms one part of the school curriculum. We undertake a daily act of collective worship and teach religious education to pupils at every key stage.
Reading is taught through the Letters and Sounds phonics scheme and the Power of Reading. The importance of books and literature are at the heart of every lesson, enabling children to become confident and enthused lifelong readers. For the teaching of mathematics we use the Maths No Problem scheme which emphasises the maths for mastery approach and develops a long-term and adaptable understanding. Problem solving is at the root of each lesson and the children develop their mathematical fluency through an inclusive approach where every child achieves.
