Houses

Every child at Trinity Church of England Primary School is in a house – Mandela (blue), Thompson (yellow), Hawking (green) and Glennie (red). These four people were chosen to inspire our children to achieve their very best as all four excelled in their sphere despite disabilities and political barriers:

Mandela

became South Africa's first black president in 1994

Thompson

Paralympic Olympic Medallist & member of the House of Lords

Hawking

Theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author - disabled with a debilitating disease

Glennie

World renowned percussionist - profoundly deaf

Children gain points for the houses for attendance, inter-house cross country and sports’ day events, contributions to school life etc.
