During these unprecedented times, classes (including those of Eligible groups who are not attending school) have been set home-learning, as you are encouraged to continue with your studies. Please see our Home Learning Page.

As part of the Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced on Thursday 28th May that Schools will re-open to children in Nursery (Ospreys), Reception, Year One and Year Six (Eligible Group) together with the Priority Group, from Monday 1st June.

Schools remain closed until further notice to children in Years Two, Three, Four and Five (to all but the children considered to fall within the Priority Group; children of Key Workers, vulnerable children and those with Education Health Care Plans).

Please inform the school if you intend for your child to attend under either the Eligible or Priority Group – details can be found in the letter linked above.

We very much look forward to fully returning to school when we are advised that we can.

The Secretary of State for education directed all schools in England and Wales to close on 23 March as part of the Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereafter, the Department for Education provided guidance on the safeguarding of pupils during the period of school closure. The Aquinas Trust and the Academy are complying with this guidance as reflected in the addendum to the Trust Safeguarding Policy (the Addendum), which is found on the ‘Policies’ page of the Aquinas website here. For the period of school closure, the Academy’s Child Protection Policy will be altered as detailed in the Addendum.
